Camp Brebeuf is a place where year round fun takes place in an environment of faith.

Since 1941 Camp Brébeuf has been providing young people with an awesome experience of faith and fun in the great outdoors. Camp Brébeuf is a year round camp owned and operated by the Catholic Youth Organization of Hamilton. Our camp is located on 110 acres of forest and stream in the beautiful town of Rockwood, Ontario, just 25 minutes east of Cambridge (Hespeler). Camp Brebeuf and St Mary of the Visitation Parish share a special relationship.

At Camp Brebeuf, children, youth and leaders are able to come together, join as friends and experience their faith as servants of God.

While at Camp Brebeuf, leaders assist the campers in "challenge by choice" activities, reminding them that trust is key. Trust in oneself, peers, leaders and God. Here you will find a counselor assisting their camper, ensuring their safety and allowing them to reach new heights.

Outdoor Education
Each Fall, the Grade 8 students of our three parish schools attend an overnight Leadership Camp and our Kids Klub (Grade 5-8) hosts their annual Adventure Day at Camp Brebeuf. These popular events have been hallmarks of our youth ministry program at St Mary of the Visitation Parish.

Retreats
Our high school youth group (Da Crew) hosts their annual "Nerve to Serve Retreat" each Fall which provides a basis for the year's youth programming. Each Spring our "Searching in the Spirit" Confirmation retreat is held at Camp Brebeuf, which provides final preparations for this important Sacrament.

Summer Camp/March Break Camp
During the summer, Camp Brebeuf is a place for co-ed camping for students in Grades 1 to 8. One-week residential sessions are offered during July & August. St Mary of the Visitation Parish also hosts a one-week Day Camp at Camp Brebeuf during August. It is a wonderful time of faith and fun.
We also offer a special March Break Day Camp. A special rate just for our parish has been established which includes daily bus transportation from our site.

Employment
During the summer, several young people (high school and post secondary school age) from our parish family have worked at Camp Brebeuf as Camp Counselors, Life Guards, Maintenance and Kitchen Staff members. Check the Camp Brebeuf website for opportunities to become involved.

Check our site often for updates on our special relationship with Camp Brebeuf!
