Fast Facts

We are truly blessed at St Mary of the Visitation Parish with our three dynamic Catholic Elementary Schools

Our Lady of Fatima, St Elizabeth and St Gabriel along with our Secondary School of St Benedict.

Within our Parish boundaries are located four schools, covering the Elementary levels to the High School. These schools come under the realm of the Separate School Board of Ontario, but are funded in part by the Diocese of Hamilton, of which St Mary of the Visitation Parish is a part.

The schools are distributed throughout the community so that children can attend a school within their community.

Message from New Principal of St Benedict

Hello to the parishioners of St. Mary of the Visitation.

My name is Lorrie Temple and I am the new Principal at St. Benedict Catholic Secondary School.

I was a teacher and a Vice-Principal there and now am returning as the Principal, starting November 19th.

I look forward to working with Father Freitas and members of this parish, supporting the home, school, parish triad for the betterment of our students.

I am excited for the opportunity to return to Cambridge and rebuilding old relationships and forging new ones.

Please say hi when you drop by the school or see me at events.

As I shared, I am looking forward to working in partnership to help our students be the best they can be.

God Bless and take care.

Elementary School Registration

We are truly blessed in our parish with our three dynamic Elementary Schools. St. Elizabeth School 519 651 0400, Our Lady of Fatima School 519 658 4041, St Gabriel School 519 658 2008. A Catholic Baptismal Certificate is required. A copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization record is also requested.

While a Catholic School does not replace the parish, and enrollment in a Catholic school does not take over the role of the home, all do complement each other. When children know their parish each Sunday, attend a Catholic school each week and pray with their families each day; they come to live as ones who know they are loved by God eternally. May each of us pray that parish, school and home will continue to work together
