Jesus said, “Let the children come to me” (Mt. 19:14)
 
At St. Mary of the Visitation we believe that all children are a blessing to the Church, so we take our ministry to children seriously. We provide a Liturgy of the Word for children in J.K. to Grade 4. They are called to the front of the Church and move with their adult leaders to their program spaces. During the presentation of the gifts the children return to their families.
 
J.K.-Grade 1             
CHILDREN’S LITURGY: Children listen to the Gospel reading from an adult leader using the Children’s Lectionary, followed by a reflection on the words of Jesus. The children pray and offer up intentions for friends and family and then receive activity sheets or complete a craft. Everything is mixed with song, movement, and a little technology to make God’s Word come alive!  
 
Grade 2-4                  
VISITATION KIDS: The aim of Visitation Kids is to take the Gospel to the next level and start integrating the Word of God in the life of each child. Using many of the same principles of Children’s Liturgy, the children go more in depth into the Holy Mass and the sacraments, especially the Eucharist and Reconciliation to help them keep connected to Christ.
 
The Goal is simple:  Help your kids get closer to Christ by making Sunday Mass the best hour of their week.
